How far is Taif from Makkah?

Taif is roughly 90 km from Makkah by the Al Hada mountain road, and the drive usually takes around 1.5 hours each way, depending on traffic.

How long does a Taif tour take?

Most pilgrims spend around 6 to 8 hours on the full day trip, including the drive both ways and stops at the sites and markets. Tell us your plans when you book and we will suggest a start time.

Can we enter ihram for Umrah on the way back from Taif?

Yes. Qarn al-Manazil, at As-Sayl al-Kabir on the Taif road, is the Miqat for travellers coming from Taif. If you want to perform another Umrah, tell us when you book and your driver will stop there so you can enter ihram before returning to Makkah.

When is the best time to visit Taif?

Taif is pleasant for most of the year because of its altitude, and it is a popular escape from the heat of Makkah in summer. If you want to see the rose farms, visit in spring during the harvest season.
